Help Us Get to Bub’s Graduation, Down the Mekong

Our outreach location has been announced. God is taking us to the dry places along the largest source of water through Southeast Asia – the Mekong River. God spoke very clearly through us as a staff and also through the students, even before they realized what they were praying about. It was quite amazing.

Now, we must look at the reasons we are going and how we will get there. We believe God is calling us to work with the poor, specifically orphans and widows who are forced to labor in desperate places. God spoke to us about bringing the hope of Jesus to victims of sex trafficking and children and adults who collect garbage or work on the streets to make ends meet.

We want to be obedient to go to these places along the Mekong, to bring the hopeless the hope of Jesus, to bring living water and life.

In the middle of all that, the girls and I must leave our students for a short time to see a huge change taking place in another life – Bub’s college graduation! We do not want to miss this once-in-a-lifetime major event.

Can you help us see these dreams become realities? No amount is too small.

Not familiar with YWAM or missions work? Here is a little information and history.

What is YWAM?
Youth With A Mission contains Christians from many backgrounds, cultures and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. Also known as YWAM (pronounced “WHY-wham”), our purpose is simply to know God and to make Him known.

When YWAM began in 1960, the main focus was giving young people opportunities to demonstrate the love of Jesus to the whole world, according to His command in Mark 16:15. Today, we still focus on youth, but we have members (known as “YWAMers”) of almost every age and many short-term efforts have grown into long-term endeavors that have impacted lives and nations.

YWAM has a decentralized structure that encourages new vision and the exploration of new ways to change lives through training, convey the message of the gospel and care for those in need. We are currently operating in more than 1,000 locations in over 180 countries, with a staff of over 18,000.

Why Support Us?
Giving to missions is always a sound investment! Youth With A Mission (YWAM) is a volunteer movement. Our lack of decentralized funding has enabled rapid growth and means that all our individual staff and ministries partner closely with other believers and church bodies to fund their duties. YWAM does not provide a salary. Most YWAM staff members have financial partners, such as churches and friends, who provide funds so they can be active in their ministries.
