Please Cover Us In Prayer

Please cover us in prayer.

Dear Friends and Church Families,

In two weeks we will leave for a two-month outreach to some very hard places. The enemy is up to his tricks and is attempting to put up barriers that will hinder our journey. We know he doesn’t want us to shine light in the dark places we are going. But that’s just too bad.

“But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.” – 1 John 4:4 (NLT)

We believe God is for us. We believe God is leading us. We believe God has gone before us and will protect us. We believe God will do miracles and show his Son to the lost and abandoned during our Mission to the Mekong.

God has called us to plant seeds in the dry places.

Two months ago, God spoke very clearly to me about this in a verse from Jonah. I thought it was weird to read a verse about vomiting!

But God said to me clearly, “So the Lord spoke to the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land.” – Jonah 2:10 (NKJV)

Generally when I read Jonah, I’m so focused on Jonah that I forget to look at the big picture. But this time, God brought my attention to the whale. For probably the first time ever, I started thinking about the fish’s role in carrying out God’s plan.

The whale rescued Jonah. The whale kept Jonah safe. The whale carried Jonah through a vast ocean that otherwise would have consumed him in a split second. The whale spit Jonah out onto dry land.

The dry land was just outside Ninevah. It was dry because the people of Ninevah had abandoned God. So Jonah walked through the dry land, bringing living water, the Word of God, and “The people of Ninevah believed God’s message, from the greatest to the least …” – Jonah 3:5 (NLT)

I believe as a team that we have been rescued by the whale. I have heard testimonies from 10 nations during the last three months to know it is true. And the whale will deliver us onto dry land to bring living water.

Will you join our Mission to the Mekong by covering us in prayer during the next two months? Will you intercede for the nations of Southeast Asia who have never experienced the love of Christ?

We would love to hear how God speaks to you during this time. If you have any words of encouragement or words from God regarding our outreach, please send them to okiepress@yahoo.com so I can share them with our team.

Thank you for covering us in your prayers and support. Together, we are a team in the Kingdom, and we WILL make a difference.

Many blessings,

Korina, Jaynee, Justine
