I read one of the subtitles for this chapter – “The Year of Jubilee” – and all I did while reading through the text was think about the song “Days of Elijah.” For those of you who haven’t heard it, or if you know the song, and you’re like me and just wanted to hear it, you can listen here: This is one number I can get into and not care who’s watching! This song makes me want to sing and dance and praise the Lord, just like in the Year of Jubilee. The celebration and timeline God lays out reminds me of a few special celebrations for which I’ve been honored to have been around, like when my home state of Oklahoma celebrated its 100th year of statehood. That was in 1993, but it was such a grand celebration, I still remember it!
Writing prompt: celebrate
Celebrate! Celebrate! Dance to the muuuuu-zak! When was the last time you celebrated anything? Write about it, how special it was and what had to take place beforehand that made the celebration so special.
