Bible studies for writers

Bible studies for writers| Joshua 24

Have you ever tried to write a book? It’s hard! Or is it? I think I overthink it, especially when I look at the Book of Joshua. As a writer, I’ve written enough copy to make dozens of books, but my goal in life is to create one that actually makes sense – not just a bunch of short stories published together. The Book of Joshua, in my Bible, is 35 pages. If you double that to make the print larger, you’d have about a 70-page book. Goals. My masters thesis was 59 pages, but I think 9 of those pages were resources. Snort. Anyhoo, the Book of Joshua just got me to thinking about writing in a unique way. The end.

Oh wait, it’s not the end completely, of this post anyway. And even though we’ve reached the end of Joshua, we know this is just the beginning! We end today with the passing of both Joshua and Eleazar, the head priest. What will judges bring? Stay tuned to find out!

Writing prompt: write a book about it

Have you ever written a book? Well, that’s your assignment.

Just kidding!!!

Write instead about a topic of a book you’d like to write. Maybe it will spur you on to write the actual book!
