Jotham seems to have been a fabulous ruler, yet his reign was summed up in an itty-bitty, five-paragraph-long chapter. Isn’t it funny how some people can do great big huge things and become known all over the planet, while others do the same things but barely get any recognition at all? Sometimes I compare myself to others in this way. Like, when I hear of a copywriter or writer who has made it big-time, I wonder, what have they done that I’m not doing? Ok, I know it sounds like a fictional tale to even think that copywriters make it big-time, but actually, they do. Think of sitcom writers and columnists and other people you know because of their writings. Think of the authors you studied in high school and maybe college. I always wondered how Hemingway became a household name when thousands (millions) of other authors have written some just as fabulous stuff. Of course, I don’t have the answers, just theories and thoughts. Maybe this sparked some thoughts for you as well.
Writing prompt: why
Let’s get philosophical today. Write about why you think some people never get to stand under the spotlight while others do.
