Bible studies for writers | Job 39

It’s hard for me to write about how I feel about this passage when I’m not so sure what I feel. God is continuing to drive home the point that He is and Job is not. I did hone in on verse 17, however: “For God has deprived her of wisdom. He has given her no understanding.” This was written in reference to the ostrich. Then jump down to verse 27: “Is it your wisdom that makes the hawk soar and spread its wings toward the south?” The two mentions of wisdom are quite polar, huh? On one hand, you have an animal that God has chosen to give no wisdom. On the other hand, you have God, who is wisdom and has the power to grant wisdom. And in the middle, we have Job, who has been blessed with more wisdom then the ostrich but not as much wisdom as God. Hmmmm, me thinks we have a metaphorical reference here.

Writing prompt: middle man

It is a blessing to be human. God made you that way. He could have left you out and made another ostrich instead. Write about your blessings as a human today.
