Bible studies for writers

Bible studies for writers | Psalm 2

I just summed it up with my own words today. Feel free to share your thoughts!

Sum it up:

Why do the people of nations hate people from other nations?
Why do they plot against each other?
Rulers constantly are planning wars,
Wars that are fought outside God’s plan.
“We work for ourselves, not God!” They claim.

But God just laughs at them
And pours on the punishments,
And tells them, laughing, “You only think you are a king.
The real king sits on My throne.”

The real king lives by the Lord’s law:
Only he has heard the true blessing,
“You are my son. Today I have become your father.”
All you have to do is ask, and the Earth is yours.
I know you will do wondrous things there,
Bring rulers down from their pedestals.

Now, you Earthly kings better think about this:
You can either serve the Lord,
Being joyful yet fearful of His power over you,
Or you can reject Him and see what happens.
Oh, but how happy you’ll be if you choose the latter!

Writing prompt: rewrite it

I warned you yesterday that we would be summarizing all the psalms … for 150 days. So, I hope you’re still with us on Day 2. Happy rewriting!
