Sometimes, we just need a good ol’ heart search. You know, one of those moments when you ask yourself, “Did I do something wrong?” Next time you find yourself in one of those humble moments, go a step further like David does: instead of asking yourself if you did something wrong, ask God. Ask Him to search your heart and reveal to you the places where you could do better.
Sum it up:
I am coming to you, and you alone, Lord, for protection.
No one else can rescue me.
If I am not worthy of rescuing, let me know, please.
And if you find me unworthy, send my enemies to kill me.
Oh, but Lord, will you please rise up against them?
Will you please find me innocent?
Will you please end this physical and emotional war?
You are my protection, Lord.
You are an honest judge.
Please don’t let me fall into the path of the wicked
In any way, shape or form.
Evil people reap trouble, and I don’t want that.
I know you are just, and I will continue to praise you through this storm.
