I’m just going to admit this little psalm is super confusing for me. I’m not sure if Asaph is talking to God or himself, but I guess it doesn’t really matter. The point, I believe, is that Asaph himself also is a bit confused but steadfast in his faith that God is doing what is right and just … even if Asaph can’t figure out what that is.
Sum it up:
Since you are the one calling the shots, God,
When do you plan on resolving this matter?
You should give justice to the poor and oppressed
By educating those who reduce them to mere remnants.
Stand up, and show them who’s boss!
