Bible studies for writers | Psalm 122

I’ve spent some time researching and writing about travel in Saudi Arabia thanks to my job, and I learned a little about the annual pilgrimage to Mecca during my Googling. This psalm so reminded me of the annual Muslim tradition of Hajj. I can’t help but notice sometimes where Islam and Christianity collide. I hope you notice these things, too, as I think there is a deep, beautiful, meaningful link in there somewhere from which we all can benefit.

Sum it up:

Didn’t take me long to get ready
When someone said, “Let’s go to God’s house!”
And here I stand,
Surrounded by others who were just as ready.
Together, we pray for peace to reign here
So that all may have peace.

Google Hajj, and write about what you learn.
