Bible studies for writers

Bible studies for writers | Proverbs 6

King Solomon sure jumps around a lot in his writings, doesn’t he? One minute he’s talking about being a lazybones, and the next he’s on about adultery. It goes to show the guy had a lot on his mind. However, it doesn’t show us much about how he organized his thoughts. Who knows, maybe writing these proverbs was his way of organizing his thoughts, as he seems to have similar random thoughts about similar random subjects throughout this whole book. We all have different writing styles, and while we don’t always understand how an author came to write what he did, we still can glean the little things left on the page.

Writing prompt: random thoughts

Write a poem or story similar to King Solomon’s style in proverbs. In other words, just write about the first things that come to your mind!
