‘Tis customary to want to believe that money solves all problems. But we know that isn’t true, and Solomon points out some downfalls of being rich, like being threatened with ransoms (v. 8). He also points out some other unsavory circumstances to which we all can relate. As I’ve said before, the proverbs are hard to swallow in one go, and sometimes we just have to pick out a few that really resonate with our beings. I guess the money ones got my attention today.
