Bible studies for writers | Proverbs 14

I was having a good think about my kiddos and how much I miss them before I read this proverb. Then I got to verse 10, and what I was feeling about my kids hit me: no one else can fully share my joy. I can’t even put into words how much I miss them and love them. That’s a frustrating point for a writer, too – having a feeling so deep and so meaningful that you just cannot for the life of you convey it to others so that they feel the same way. That’s what comparisons are for, I suppose, but sometimes we just want – really, we NEED – others to feel our feelings, you know? It would just be so helpful.

Writing prompt: feeeeeeelings, whoa, whoa, whoa, feeeeeelings

Try to convey a deep feeling about anything or anyone.
